Crowns
This lady had been self-conscious of her smile for as long as she could remember—she didn't like the different colors or spaces between her teeth. She did not want braces and preferred the "instant result" of full coverage crowns.
Orthodontics and teeth whitening would not have corrected the striped colors in her teeth. After completing treatment with porcelain, the patient's life was changed forever. Now she is smiling for all of her pictures!
This patient had porcelain-to-metal crowns. The lateral incisors had black lines at the gum line. Her previous dentist told her that was the best result she could expect. We replaced her crowns with full porcelain crowns.
The upper maxilla bone was in an extreme v shape, pushing the lateral incisors (the teeth next to the central or "front" teeth) out of view. By changing the shape of the porcelain we brought them into view, and improved her smile. This young athlete suffered a fractured anterior incisor. This presents a real cosmetic challenge. Matching a single anterior crown to the rest of the dentition requires an "artistic" knowledge of colors. This all porcelain crown sculpted by Puredent will last him well into his adult life.
Veneers
This young man came to us after 4 years of unsuccessful orthodontic treatments. His right front tooth was too long and the left front tooth overlapped. His teeth were stained and discolored after removal of orthodontic brackets. We placed porcelain veneers on his 6 front teeth. This case was done without "prepping" of the teeth, and no anesthesia was necessary. We only send our veneer cases to the creators of this system, Rembrandt® in California.
Another patient, a Florida resident, was headed for California when she saw 1 of our cosmetic makeovers. Dr. Calomeris completed her veneers procedure without shots or drilling.
